MICHAEL JACKSON TRIBUTE (WITH GARY E SPIKE)

Fulber

On the second anniversary of the death of Michael Jackson, the King of Pop, Fulber's paper heroes Gary and Spike pay homage to the singer of worldwide renown in a mini comic-strip adventure. Almost a modern day fairy tale, The Island's Secret has also been announced on MichaelJacksonFanSquare, the most frequented Italian community website for the Italian fans of the greatest entertainer of all time.
The tale is totally innovative with respect to those rare comic-strip productions dedicated to the American pop star because it tells of Jack'O, a non-child who has missed out on playing time and is impatient to take off aboard the Jules Verne, a bizarre, Victorian-style, talking, hot-air balloon in the direction of the Realm of Childhood.

The incredible journey of Jack'O the non-child

In the adventure entitled The Island's Secret, Gary and Spike have to solve a mystery that involves the sudden disappearance of their best friends Dado, Soave, Arabel, Baby Jasper… and so many other children who, with their parents, appear to have vanished from the cities.
One of these is Jack'O, a strange little boy, the only one remaining in the district, who tells Gary and Spike how to reach the mysterious place that is attracting children from all over the world.
The odd thing about Jack'O is that he is a non-child, a young man without parents who has missed out on playing time and who is impatient to visit the Realm of Childhood.
There is, however, one crucial condition and that is that he must be accompanied on his travels by a "grown-up". To their surprise Gary and Spike instantly take on the role of Jack'O's uncles, climbing aboard the Jules Verne, a strange, talking, hot-air balloon piloted by an equally insane talking fish - Admiral Mullet.
